With over 30 years of experience in the technology sector, Al has been a trailblazer in IT Asset Management, educational and instructional technology, and digital safeguarding.
For the past 25 years, Al has been the Group CEO of NetSupport, an international software company with over 22 million users. NetSupport is renowned for its market-leading software solutions that enhance instructional technology in classrooms and ensure the online safety of students.
In addition to his CEO role, Al is the chair of his region’s Governors’ Leadership Group and the regional SEND Board. With over 20 years of governance experience, he also sits on the Regional Schools Director’s Advisory Board for the East of England and chairs the BESA EdTech Group. Al is a well-known face in EdTech globally, authoring many books.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Sentance of the Raspberry Pi Computing Education Research Centre based at the University of Cambridge, will be joining our webinar series in March to discuss her groundbreaking EPICS project. This webinar will be particularly valuable for educators interested in the latest research on physical computing in primary schools.
The Exploring Physical Computing in Schools (EPICS) project is a comprehensive five-year, longitudinal study that employs mixed-methods to investigate the attitudes and beliefs of primary school pupils across the UK towards physical computing. This insightful project aims to shed light on how young students engage with and perceive physical computing, providing crucial data that can inform future educational practices.
