The service seeks to work with all types of education provision and all who support them, to enable all children to get the best education possible. Their teams focus on pupil achievement and learning and early years provision.

Based in Suffolk, Adastral Park is an exciting cluster of high-tech telecommunication and technology companies at the heart of the UK’s digital ecosystem. It combines a national operation centre, test facilities, a global Research & Development unit and an Education unit, all set amongst a thriving community of collaborative technological innovation. The park is home to BT’s innovation labs as well as educational initiatives such as the Tommy Flowers Network.

DEFI’s vision is to create a more inclusive global education system by building a community that offers a space for open dialogue, research, knowledge creation, reflection and thought leadership on digital education’s role in shaping a sustainable future. They are working to build and support a global community of stakeholders (including academia, education, policy and industry) to develop new models of education and new research priorities arising due to the growing prevalence of digital technology.
